Modern Slavery Statement
Financial year ending March 2026
This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It sets out the steps Visionary Marketing has taken and continues to take to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within our business or supply chain.
1. Our Business
Visionary Marketing is a digital marketing agency headquartered in Newcastle upon Tyne, with additional offices in London and Middlesbrough. We provide SEO, Google Ads management, paid media, and digital marketing services to businesses across the United Kingdom and internationally. Our team consists of senior marketing specialists working directly with clients to deliver measurable results.
2. Our Supply Chain
As a professional services business, our supply chain is relatively straightforward. It primarily consists of:
- ■ Technology providers (software, hosting, and analytics platforms)
- ■ Professional service providers (legal, accounting, and insurance)
- ■ Office facility providers (landlords and utilities)
- ■ Specialist freelance contractors engaged on specific client projects
3. Our Policies
We are committed to ensuring there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of our business. The following policies support this commitment:
- ■ Recruitment Policy: We verify the identity and right to work of all employees and contractors. We pay at least the National Living Wage and ensure all working conditions comply with UK employment law.
- ■ Whistleblowing Policy: We encourage employees and contractors to report any concerns about unethical practices, including suspected modern slavery, without fear of retaliation.
- ■ Supplier Code of Conduct: We expect all suppliers to share our commitment to ethical labour practices and reserve the right to terminate relationships with any supplier found to be involved in modern slavery.
4. Due Diligence
We carry out due diligence on all new suppliers and contractors. For technology providers, we review their own modern slavery statements and ethical commitments. For freelance contractors, we verify their identity, right to work, and ensure fair compensation. We periodically review existing supplier relationships to ensure continued compliance.
5. Risk Assessment
We consider the risk of modern slavery within our direct operations to be low, given the nature of our business (professional services), our location (United Kingdom), and our workforce (skilled professionals). However, we remain vigilant and recognise that modern slavery can occur in any sector. We assess risk annually and update our approach accordingly.
6. Training
All team members are made aware of the signs of modern slavery and human trafficking as part of their induction process. Senior leadership reviews this statement annually and is responsible for ensuring compliance across the business.
